Ambient's philosophy towards wedding receptions is that the bride & groom should be the focal point, not an overbearing DJ! While we make professional announcements, entertain guests and keep the dance floor moving, we do not engage in excessive, insincere showmanship. We only perform one wedding reception per day, so we are never in a hurry to leave and can completely focus on your event.

I highly recommend using Ambient DJ Service. Gregg was our DJ and was so helpful every step of the way. He went over everything in such detail and being able to do all of our music selection online was so convient. I cannot say enough nice things about Gregg and Ambient DJ Services. It was a truly a night to remember filled with dancing and so much fun. I think just about every guest has told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to and the music played such a large role in that. My friend has also book with Gregg and I look forward to getting to party with them again!

Gregg and his team did a great job at our wedding! Our guests did not sit down, everyone was up dancing and having a great time with us! The music was perfect and Gregg really understood what we were looking for and really took the time to get to know us and what we would like to hear and see happen. We choose to use the lighting package in our reception room and it really set off the right message to our guests. We also used the video slide show and that too was perfect! What was really important is no one’s name had been mispronounced and my divorced parents’ weren’t announced as Mr. & Mrs. Gregg and the rest of Ambient DJ did an amazing job! We’re looking forward to plan something else just so we can use them again!

Larry, just wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful job you did at our wedding on Oct 20th! As you know, all we wanted was that our guests danced and had a good time! we couldnt have been more thrilled at the turn out and we ourselves had a blast! (and for the record, neither of us EVER dance and it was my biggest anxiety!!) the feedback has been incredible as well. Most people are saying it was the best wedding they've ever been to, the music was awesomwe and that they have never seen a wedding where the dance floor was always packed!! of course Van Morrison nailed it!! DJ Gregg Hollmann of Ambient DJ Service is a true professional within the NJ DJ community! After calling him in a panic to let him know that a DJ had cancelled one week before our daughter's wedding, he calmly and efficiently went about finding us a replacement and putting together the rest of the process with our venue. I am so happy I choose Ambient DJ for my wedding. I was a busy bride trying to plan a wedding and I was blessed to have great venders all around. I booked DJ Gregg after one phone conversation! DJ Gregg was so easy going, confident and professional. We had 3 zones at our wedding at the Renault Winery and he and DJ Jazz were able to run all 3 flawlessly. My ceremony music was a bit different and getting the timing right was crucial to my big moment. DJ Gregg was prepared to live edit the track and re-loop it if needed. DJ Gregg and his assistant Jazz provided the music for my daughter's wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the service. He worked with Tracy and Brendon on the selection of music from the music being played as guests arrived right on through to the last dance of the night at the reception. DJ Gregg Ambient and emcee Greg Nice did a fabulous job at our wedding! Definitely one of our favorite vendors. We met with a few other DJs, but right from the moment we met Gregg, we knew he was the right DJ for our reception. In addition to DJ/emcee services, Gregg provided lighting/photo booth services and created a slide show for us that showcased pictures of us growing up and pictures of us as a couple. Throughout the planning process, Gregg was easily accessible and prompted us at appropriate time points to work on our playlists and slide show. He took the time to get to know our musical tastes and also asked about our guests so that he could tailor the playlist appropriately. Gregg was a pleasure to work with from the start, always promptly returning emails and phone calls. Ambient DJ Service is awesome!! We had DJ Greg Nice and his associate Joe for our wedding and they were truly amazing! The whole day ran smoothly from the minute the ceremony started until the minute the reception ended. DJ Gregg made our day extra special in so many ways! I sent him over 100 songs that we HAD to have during our seating, ceremony, and then throughout the reception. The location was not only over 2 hours from where he lived, but he showed up two hours early to setup, because of the difficult layout of the venue.... Outside for the ceremony, half outside /inside for cocktail hour and then many rooms for the dancing and dinner! This DJ cares and wants everyone to be happy and have a great time! He is kind, understanding and made it all work out perfectly!!! When all was said and done, he was a new member of our new family! Never complained and only offered great solutions to any problems, that is the true sign of a professional!!!! I recommend DJ GREGG 1000%, Thank you Gregg for the best day of our lives

We hired Ambient DJ to provide music and a video show at our wedding reception. Chris, our DJ, was very responsive to our music preferences, and provided great input when we met with him a few weeks prior to the event. When the day came he was prepared for anything - including the flooding that affected our reception hall, forcing him to move all of his equipment to the other side of the hall. Chris handled with this unexpected event with aplomb and everyone was out on the floor and dancing again within minutes. He played music that a varied audience - ages, races, and music preferences - all enjoyed and mentioned for weeks after the wedding. We would recommend Ambient DJ to anyone.

Gregg is a wonderful DJ and you should just hire him. We met to talk about what we wanted at our wedding and instantly felt that he was perfect. DJ Spinz was absolutely amazing for our July 4th wedding! From the minute we started working with him we knew we were in good hands. He was professional every step of the way. He helped us decide on lighting and music selections, which made the whole process so much easier. Everyone tells us that we had a great variety of music that appealed to everyone. He even had a few choice songs that really made a few photo ops occur! A sure sign of a good wedding is when everyone is up and dancing and that's what everyone was doing almost immediately. Our wedding was on August 19, 2014 and it wouldn't have been as wonderful if it wasn't for Gregg and DJ Nice (Greg) at Ambient DJ. From the very beginning in the planning of all our songs to the actual day, Greg was professional, prompt and responsive. He helped customize all the songs we wanted and really made our day special. As an addition, I'd have to say that Greg was the coordinator for our whole wedding. I felt he was the point person for talking to all our other vendors to make sure everything was scheduled and on time. Also when our guest weren't dancing, Greg got everyone (even the old people) to get out of the chairs and dance! I can't rave enough about Greg and co. You can tell they love DJ'ing for couples and it shows. If I could give 6 points on this 5 scale I would!

Gregg was such an amazing Dj! He really kept our wedding reception running smoothly. I thought he did an amazing job in making announcements and coordinating the party. He really knows how to run a wedding. He worked with me with all my ideas and made them all come to life. You can count on Gregg. He got into a car accident on the way to my wedding but still managed to show up ON TIME with his bumper hanging on by a thread. Ambient DJ Service is amazing. We had DJ Iron Mike and he was fantastic! He got to know my husband and I before the wedding, and integrated our personalities into the wedding reception. He really made the reception that much more magical than we anticipated. We had hit some rough patches with the venue, but DJ Iron Mike helped us work through it, so that we could enjoy the night. Jesse was great ! He met with us twice before the wedding and was extremely personable and eager to meet our needs. He asked us what our vision was and gave great suggestions when we weren't sure. He called us a day or two before the wedding for our finals, just to set things in stone and to ease our minds. The wedding was great ! He played for our cocktail hour (which I hear was a total hit) and our reception. We opted for 70s dance music, and Jesse knew exactly what he was doing. He played every one of our "must play" songs and then some. Everybody loved him ! Ambient as a company is extremely well priced and WOW do you get a more high-end experience ! I specifically asked for "DJ Greg Nice" to be the DJ at my wedding. DJ Greg Nice was very flexible and willing to make my wedding the way I had envisioned it! From customizing our first dance, building our database of songs, creating a great center piece give-away game and always being attentive to our needs. I received lots of comments from all members of my family and friends about how wonderful the DJ was, playing great music and encouraging people to dance. So happy that I found Ambient DJ for my daughter's recent wedding reception. Their pricing is wonderful and we were so happy with the DJ for the evening. Although Gregg was not available for the date the couple set, he had for us a wonderful DJ --- Christopher Smith. We all loved Christopher and he kept the music and the dance floor going all night. Just a terrific guy and terrific DJ.Hands down the best DJ company that we could have found for my daughter's wedding. We are still dancing! Gregg was AMAZING! He kept the floor full and having fun all night long. We had two great planning sessions with him in advance and he hit the right note, so to speak, on his choices for our entire reception. Friends of ours have already booked him for their upcoming wedding. Gregg was also very flexible the night of our reception to accomodate our plans. Gregg is willing to help you put any part of the reception together and he has great recs on songs for each part of the reception. We were so pleased with his services and would recommend him to any engaged couple looking for a professional DJ, who is pleasant, calm, easy to work with, highly experienced and who will give you a great deal for your money.

Our DJ was the only vendor that we booked directly because of weddingwire.com. Gregg contacted us and even though he lives super far away, he made the 2 hour trek into Manhattan to meet with my husband and I (twice!). Gregg stands out for 3 reasons: (1) PRICE. I really challenge you to find a professional DJ that comes at a lower price. (2) PROFESSIONALISM. Gregg responded immediately to every e-mail and phone call. At each meeting we were able to outline to Gregg what we wanted and he was able to set it up accordingly. He even accepts credit card! (3) Equipment. His set-up is awesome! He also has a really wonderful website where you can sample songs and pick what you'd like. I would definitely recommend Gregg to other brides. Gregg really carried out every instruction we gave him to a tee. In conclusion, if you are on a budget, but would still like a professional DJ who will work with you tirelessly and treat you wonderfully, I'd suggest Gregg!

Gregg from Ambient was a great DJ. We couldn't oficially sit down and meet with him because of our busy schedules, so we did phone meetings. Gregg was there for suggestions and paid attention to the songs that I requested. As the night went on the dance floor got less crowded but that might be associated with the fact that people were full and it was a Sunday reception and guests had to work the following day. Otherwise for the price that we paid, Gregg did the job that we hired him for!
