iPlay America To Host American Red Cross Blood Drive

iPlay America is set to host the next American Red Cross Blood Drive at on Thursday, October 24^th. The event will be sponsored by the Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold and will be held at The Event Center @iPA.

The American Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and provides international humanitarian aid. The Red Cross supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood and continues to teach skills that save lives every day.

Sponsoring the blood drive is the Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold which hopes you will carve out a new tradition with them this October. The worldwide volunteer organization is made up of more than 2,500 local clubs whom help bring out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves.

“The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold is proud to be partnering with iPlay America to host a blood drive for our community. Together, we are committed to strengthening our community and helping in any way we can. This blood drive is one way of giving back,” Maureen Fasano said, President of Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold. “Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished. We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients in local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an emergency occurs. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.” 

In addition, iPlay America will host a fundraiser the day of at their in house restaurant Game Time Bar & Grill to raise proceeds for the cause. If anyone visiting the park on October 24^th of mentions the blood drive to their server, 20% of the customer’s food bill will go back to the American Red Cross.
